LA TOUSSUIRE

At an altitude of 1,800 metres, La Toussuire is the highest gateway to the Sybelles ski area. as one of the largest and most attractive in France, they offer a significant snow guarantee for all their customers. Set on a vast plateau, in the heart of an exceptional natural environment, the resort offers a 360° panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. Linked to the other resorts in Les Sybelles via the Pointe de l’Ouillon, La Toussuire provides easy access to the entire ski area, which encompasses Le Corbier, Saint-Jean-d’Arves, Saint-Sorlin-d’Arves and Les Bottières. Thanks to the particularly practical layout of the snow front, with seven chairlifts, a gondola lift and three ski lifts arranged in a fan-shaped pattern, access to the slopes is quick, smooth and direct. Two play areas are accessible directly from the resort: The Chaput play area, at the base of the chairlift of the same name, offers children’s games, a zip line, picnic tables and dry toilets. Snowpy Mountain, accessible via the Tête de Bellard chairlift, features a fun slope, a mini speed run, and a relaxation area equipped with hammocks, swings, wooden shelters, picnic tables and dry toilets. the resort has a strong sporting DNA. its history is linked to skiing and its many early champions, Jean Pierre and Jean Noël Augert, who won numerous World Cup victories. jean Noël Later became a World Champion, and Jean Pierre Vidal is now an Olympic slalom champion. as president of the sports club, he is preparing the next generation with no fewerthan thee young athletes who have recently joined the national B team. Located just 20 minutes from the motorway exit or the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne – Arvan international railway station, La Toussuire guarantees quick and comfortable access to the resort.
