LA GIETTAZ

A wealth of pleasures for nature and animals lovers: Mountain bike lovers will enjoy 60 kms of trails (starting from the summit of the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area, reachable by chairlift) and will be drawn to the mythical climb up to the Col des Aravis. Nature and animals lovers will find magnificent pastures with a great range of mountain flowers, and will encounter chamois, marmots, and ibexes as they go on hikes. 140 kms of trailed footpaths: most of them are easy enough for children! Swimming lovers will enjoy the lake in Annecy (45 kms away) and the artificial lake of Flumet (6 kms away), with their fully-equipped beaches. Visit the «À la rencontre du passé» museum and the baroque church of this traditional village. You can also visit a farm up in pasture where you will be able to see how the “reblochon” is made and taste all the local produce.
